Big Library Read

Join a Global eBook Club in Reading & Discussing Art of the Pie
No baking class needed, just a library card. Take part in Big Library Read, the world’s largest global eBook reading club connecting millions of readers around the world with the same eBook at the same time. The free program runs for two weeks (March 16 - March 30, 2017). To get started reading, all you need is your JCLS library card

About Art of the Pie

Kate McDermott has taught the time-honored craft of pie-making to thousands of people. In Art of the Pie she shares her secrets to great crusts, fabulous fillings, and to living a good life. Kate provides dozens of recipes for all the pie combinations you can dream up with hints and tricks helpful to even the most experienced pie baker. You can read a letter from the author here​.


Borrow the Book
To borrow the eBook, Art of the Pie, JCLS card-holders can visit between Thursday, March 16 and Thursday, March 30.
Art of the Pie can be read on all major computers and devices, including iPhone®, iPad®, Android™ phones and tablets, Chromebook™ and Kindle® (U.S. Libraries only) without worrying about wait lists or holds. The eBook cookbook will automatically expire at the end of the lending period, and there are no late fees.
