The first phase expands hours at the Medford and Ashland branches starting December 1
Medford, Oregon (November 30, 2022) — Jackson County Library Services (JCLS) will expand open hours by 30% across the fifteen-branch system in a phased approach this winter and spring.
The first phase begins Thursday, December 1 with expanded hours at the Medford and Ashland branches. Previously closed on Thursdays (Medford) and Fridays (Ashland), both branches will now be open seven days a week — on weekdays from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and on weekends from 12 Noon to 5:00 p.m.
“Our community has been asking for expanded hours of operation for some time,” said Kelda Vath, JCLS Assistant Director of Support Services. “We are thrilled to begin offering seven-days-a-week service in Medford and Ashland, and are excited to expand services across the County at all JCLS libraries this spring.”
The second and final phase of hours expansion is scheduled to start on Saturday, April 10, 2023, and will involve all other branches in the 15-branch system.
