Medford, Oregon (October 20, 2022) — Women have long been making history in Southern Oregon. Dr. Anna Sloan will highlight the stories of just a few of the extraordinary women who made their mark on our region over the past 150 years, including Fredericka Wetterer, Sybil Harber, Ann Haseltine Hill, Grace Fountain, Wong Soo Lue, and the women of the Hanley family during this Windows in Time presentation on Wednesday, November 2, 2022 from 12 Noon–1:00 p.m. at the Medford Library, 205 South Central Avenue. This program will also be screened live at the Ashland Library, 410 Siskiyou Boulevard, and online via the Zoom video conferencing app. All are welcome to attend this free lecture; registration is required. 

Dr. Anna Sloan received her PhD in Anthropology from the University of Oregon in 2021. Her anthropological research has focused on intersections of gender, social identity, and heritage, interests that she now brings to her work as Curator of Collections at the Southern Oregon Historical Society and as an archaeologist at the Southern Oregon University Laboratory of Anthropology.
