“Robbie Collins: The Man Who Saved Jacksonville”

Medford, Oregon (January 2, 2025) – Jacksonville historian Larry Smith will share the riveting story of Robbie Collins’ efforts to preserve Jacksonville’s historic buildings by founding the Jacksonville Boosters Club and spearheading the establishment of Jacksonville’s National Historic Landmark District. Robbie’s preservation work is still reverberating throughout the Jacksonville of today, 60 years later. Robbie lived a life that circled the globe but was firmly rooted in Jacksonville.

This presentation will take place on Wednesday, January 8, from 12:00-1:00 PM at the Ashland Library. If you’re unable to attend the first presentation, it will happen again on Wednesday, January 15, from 12:00-1:00 PM at the Medford Library and online.
