Medford, OR (December 1, 2024) – Jackson County Library Services is very excited to announce the return of its annual Winter Reading Program, Rogue Reads! The program will begin today, December 1, 2024, and end on February 28, 2025. Rogue Reads provides an opportunity for people to come together by reading books on the same themes or topics. It gives our patrons the chance to have fruitful conversations with family, friends, neighbors, and community members throughout Jackson County.

Rogue Reads will feature poet Ross Gay and his poetry book, The Book of Delights. Readers of all ages can participate, with specially chosen titles intended for teens/tweens, one for children, and one for adults. Multiple events will be held across our library branches between December and February to commemorate Rogue Reads including dragon tea parties, creating your own sensory coasters, The Book of Delights discussions, and much more. Reading challenges are also happening, giving participants the chance to win some exclusive Rogue Reads swag. On Thursday, February 20, 2025, patrons are also encouraged to join our in-person author talk with Ross Gay at the Medford Library, beginning at 5 PM!
