Participate in-person win prizes during the “Rogue Reads” themed program 

Medford, Oregon (December 19, 2023)—Jackson County Library Services (JCLS) launched its annual Winter Reading program on Friday, December 1. The “Rogue Reads” theme highlights JCLS providing an opportunity for the community to come together. Reading books on the same themes or topics, and this year by the same author, gives our everyone the chance to have fruitful conversations with family, friends, neighbors, and community members throughout Jackson County. This year we’re reading books by acclaimed author, Julia Alvarez! Now through February 29th, residents of all ages are encouraged to participate in this free program by reading books, attending programs, and earning prizes.  

To participate, register through the Beanstack app at jcls.beanstack.org. Participants can use the app to record books read or minutes spent reading to earn virtual badges and real-world prizes. Paper reading logs are also available at branches. 

The Winter Reading Program includes engaging in-person and virtual programs for patrons of all ages. Visit jcls.libcal.com to view the program calendar and register for events.
