Medford, Oregon (March 20, 2023) — Join Kathy Keesee Morales, Program Coordinator at the Unete Center for Farm Worker and Immigrant Advocacy, for a discussion on agricultural labor issues in the Rogue Valley. “Ode to the Harvesters” will take place on Tuesday, April 4, 2023 from 4:00 to 5:30 p.m. at the Medford Library, 205 South Central Avenue. Kathy Keesee Morales worked more than 20 years in public health through a variety of programs, most recently at Providence Health & Services. There she built the Swindells Resource Center in Medford that serves children with special health, developmental, and behavioral needs — and helped ensure Spanish-speaking families received equitable services. Established in 1996, Unete is a movement of farm workers and immigrants that strives to empower and enrich the lives of both groups through education, cultural presentations, and advocacy.
