Medford, Oregon (July 1, 2021)—Notary public services are now available by appointment at three Jackson County Library Services (JCLS) branches: Ashland, Eagle Point, and Medford. The Rogue River Library is expected to add notary services in the near future. JCLS notaries are commissioned through the state of Oregon to provide notarization, ensuring authenticity of legal documents when required.
Notarization of documents such as oaths, bills of sale, and acknowledgement of signatures expands upon the many services offered at JCLS, bringing convenient access to this service to residents. JCLS offers notary services at no charge to support individuals in processing documents that might otherwise incur large costs.
“Free notary services in public libraries have been proven to support individuals and families in accessing a vital resource,” said Elanna Erhardt, JCLS Business Librarian. “Documents that commonly require notarization affect many aspects of financial and family life, and JCLS is proud to make the service more readily available in Jackson County.”
Appointments for notary services can be scheduled by calling one of the branches listed below or online at jcls.org/research/business.
