Medford, Oregon (June 22, 2021)—Kevin Keating will present the Windows in Time lecture “Over Here: Jackson County and World War I” on Wednesday, July 7 from 12 Noon–1:00 p.m. via the Zoom video conferencing app. All are welcome to attend this free lecture; registration is required.

Learn what it was like in Southern Oregon during World War I. Using information from news sources and the National Archives, Keating will touch upon war supporters and anti-war individuals as well as problems like prostitution and intimidation that occurred in the Rogue Valley while the war was “over there.”

Kevin Keating is an avid life-long student of history and teaches various history classes at St. Mary’s School in Medford. In 2011, he wrote a book on local history titled Medford. He is a member of the Board of Directors at the Southern Oregon Historical Society.
