IN-PERSON PROGRAMS

Spring Storywalk: Bloom Boom!
Ashland: April 17-24
Take a self-guided poetic stroll outside in honor of National Poetry Month. Pages from the picture book Bloom Boom! by April Pulley Sayre will be placed along a walking route in Ashland. People of all ages are invited to enjoy the book’s nature photography and poetic language celebrating springtime. Learn more at jcls.org.
Earth Day “Seed Bombs”
Ashland Library: Thursday, April 22 • 3:00–4:00 PM
After the fires in September devastated our region, many public areas could use new plant growth. Join us to make “seed bombs” (balls of soil and native seeds) on the library lawn. Then, when you have time, take your seed bombs to a spot approved by Parks & Recreation, and toss them as far as you can to help new life sprout there! Seed varieties graciously donated by the North Mountain Park Nature Center and the Friends of the Ashland Library.

Get Up and Go Bingo!
April 1–16
Spring is here! Pick up a bingo card with challenges that take you outside to explore beautiful Jackson County: take a walk out your front door, tour a public garden, visit a trail, and get points for each outing. When you get five in a row you can redeem your bingo card for a cool, custom sticker. Cards and prizes available while supplies last.
