Jackson County is intimately acquainted with wildfire season. In Spotting Fire, we explore how wildfires in Southern Oregon have been monitored for more than 100 years — from early fire lookout towers to today’s advanced detection technology.

Featuring new interviews alongside archival photographs and footage, Spotting Fire is the first original short-form documentary produced by Jackson County Library Services.
