Book Lockers - Jackson County Library District

JCLS offers state-of-the-art lockers for convenient 24/7 access to library materials, ensuring patrons can enjoy library resources at their convenience. See below for how easy it is to pick up your holds!

How it works

1. Place a hold

2. Select your pick up location

When placing a hold, select “Lockers at Shady Cove” or “Lockers at Ashland YMCA” as the location you’d like to pick up your items.

3. Your hold is ready

When your hold is ready you will receive a notification through your preferred communication method. Be sure to pick your holds up within 4 days or they will be re-shelved.

4. Picking up items at the book locker

Use the book locker screen to input your library card number. The locker with your holds will open.

5. Enjoy!

You’re all set! All items will be checked out under your library account.

Do I have to pick up all of my items?

Yes. All items in your locker will be checked out under your account.

How do I return items I have picked up at the book locker?

Return your items as you normally would through the library book drop. Do not return your items to the book locker.

How do I place a hold for a locker in the catalog?

Place a hold as you usually would and select “Lockers at Shady Cove” or “Lockers at Ashland YMCA” for the pickup location.
