Medford, OR (April 14, 2026) – Jackson Country Library Services is turning the page to National Library Week, which runs Sunday, April 19 through Saturday, April 25. First celebrated in 1958, National Library Week is a national observance sponsored by the American Library Association and libraries of all types across the country each April. This week-long celebration is a great reminder of the many free resources and events offered through the library; from books and digital resources to job assistance and creative programming, libraries are essential to thriving communities. At JCLS, we invite everyone to join the celebration! Whether you’re a long-time patron, a new neighbor, or haven’t visited in a while, now is the perfect time to explore all the library has to offer. Our library provides many services such as free Wi-Fi, digital collections, career workshops, a Library of Things, STEAM programs, and more – ensuring that everyone has access to resources that educate, inspire, and connect our community.
To commemorate, JCLS has teamed up with local food trucks for the third year in a row! 18 participating food trucks will give out exclusive themed stickers and will offer a 10% discount to customers who present their library card when they order. It’s an effort to promote reading and local food trucks. Your brain and your stomach will thank you. The participating Rogue Valley food trucks includes What Sounds Yummy Num Nums, Mary Jane’s Bento, PNW Toasted Cheese, Super Smash Burger, Nomad Kitchen PNW, Got Balls Meatball Truck, Limon Y Sal, Prickly Pear, Snoball Donuts, Rico’s Breakfast Burritos, Charcoalazo, Tacos El Paisa, Tony’s Italian Kitchen, Taco El Valle, Katz Crepes, Rogueish Smokers, Victory Dogs, and Wakasa. Make sure to tag JCLS and the food truck you visit on social media for a chance to get featured on our social accounts!
