Día de los ninos/Día de los libros (Children’s Day/Book Day—also known as Día) is a nationally recognized initiative that emphasizes the importance of literacy for children from all backgrounds. It is a daily commitment to linking children and their families to diverse books, languages, and cultures.

Poem in Your Pocket Day
National Poem in Your Pocket Day is April 28th. Stop by the library during the week of April 25th to grab a poem or two that speaks to you. Find an old favorite or discover something new. You can celebrate National Poetry Month by sharing your poem with others or keeping it in your pocket to enjoy as you go about your day!
