Medford, Oregon (January 11, 2022)—The Jackson County Library District (JCLD) seeks candidates to serve on its Budget Committee. Applications are available at any library or at jcls.org/about/library-district. Two candidates will be selected to serve three-year terms.
To be eligible to serve on the Budget Committee, a candidate must be a registered voter and live within the geographic boundaries of the District, i.e., within Jackson County. Candidates should have experience creating budgets and the ability to understand financial statements. Knowledge of financial policy and procedures for nonprofits and special districts is desired. Candidates should have the time to dedicate to this professional volunteer opportunity, which would involve attendance at scheduled meetings over a two-to-four-month period and occasional special projects.
