Libby is Moving to a New JCLS Collection

On July 1, the JCLS Libby collection will move from Library2Go (Oregon Digital Library Consortium) to a standalone Jackson County Library Services platform.

You will still use Libby, but you will select the new Jackson County Library Services collection and sign in with your JCLS library card number and PIN.

Most patrons will not need to do anything before July 1. Your library card, most holds, checkouts, and tags will transfer automatically.
What’s Improving

What’s New in the JCLS Libby Collection

The new standalone JCLS collection will help us build a more community-centered collection and increase the number of holds patrons can place.

What Happens on July 1?

  • There will be a brief Libby outage while account information moves to the new JCLS platform.
  • Once the new collection is live, open Libby and find Jackson County Library Services.
  • Sign in with your JCLS library card number and PIN.
  • Most existing holds, tags, and checkouts will transfer with your library card.
Good to know: A few checked out items may remain available in your old Library2Go account through the length of the checkout.
Optional Before July 1

Want to Back Up Your Libby Data?

We expect the transition to go smoothly with limited interruption to service. Backing up your data is optional, but you may want to do it if you rely on Libby tags or want an extra record of your account information.

Tags include Notify Me, Borrowed, Sampled, and any custom tags you use to manage your reading interests.
