Supporting Early Literacy Throughout Our Community

Book bags, storytimes, and reading programs for ages zero through five are available for participating child care sites throughout Jackson County. Bilingual services are also provided to Spanish-speaking child care sites. Join us for Kaleidoscope Play and Learn!

Free program for children 0-5 and the grandparents, aunts, uncles, parents, older siblings, friends, and others who take care of them. We’ll have lots of fun together singing songs, telling stories, creating art, and PLAYING!

Interested in Volunteering with Outreach to Child Care?

We have a variety of opportunities available, such as providing storytimes, delivering book bags, or helping to maintain our branch’s collection. We also need volunteers to assist at our Kaleidoscope Play and Learn program. Please note your interest in Outreach to Child Care and/or Kaleidoscope Play and Learn when filling out the volunteer application.
