JCLS and Medford Comic Con are excited to unveil our contest winner and new official logo! Local artist, Junie Maupin has created the hero Comic Con needs and deserves. We are ecstatic that this fantastically bookish superhero, embodying the intersection of passionate fandom and a love of libraries, will grace MCC for years to come.
About the artist: Junie Maupin is a digital and traditional artist based in Southern Oregon. She has recently graduated from Southern Oregon University with a Bachelor of Science in Emerging Media & Digital Arts and a minor in Business Administration. She also has a web design for marketing certificate and Associate degree from Klamath Community College. Most of her work includes illustrations of cats, human characters that represent abstract ideas, or fan art of various people or characters in pop culture. She has been drawing for nearly her entire life and plans to grow her art business by vending at various art shows such as Medford Comic Con selling prints, stickers, and other merchandise of her art. In addition to her art business, she intends to pursue a career in graphic design or marketing.
The 5th annual Medford Comic Con will take place on Saturday and Sunday, April 27-28, 2019!
