Book a tour at your local library to get a behind-the-scenes look at your library.

Come and See What the Library Has to Offer!

Branch Library Tours

All 15 JCLS branches offer tours throughout the year. If you would like to schedule a tour of the library for your group, please call or e-mail at least two weeks in advance. Tours can be arranged with any of the following emphases:

  • Orientation tour
  • Research tour
  • Storytime
  • Browsing and check-out
  • Class visits

Tours for Children’s Groups and Elementary Schools

Teachers: to guarantee library card applications in time for tours, please submit complete paperwork at least two weeks ahead of visit. One library card can be used at all fifteen branches of the library system. If children already have a Jackson County Library card, they will not be issued another one and need to bring their library card on the day of the visit.

Tours for Teens

Teen Tours focus on library resources for teens at any of Jackson County’s 15 library branches.

Tours for Adults

Adult tours focus on library resources and how to use them. Tours are also offered for groups interested in our genealogy, local history, and other special collections.

All library tours must be scheduled.
