Do you want to use our e-resources, including downloadable books, audiobooks, music and online databases, but can't make it to the library to get a card? You're in luck! We're pleased to offer a virtual library card for those of you who only wish to check out electronic media.
Click here to go to the sign-in page and use the link above the sign-in box, "If you are not registered for library services..." to reach the application form. (If the link fails to appear, use the drop-down menu in the upper right corner to select your local branch, then close the page and try the link again.) After submitting your application, you will be taken to a page that lists the barcode you will use to access our online resources. Please note: You will not be able to use your eCard until the following day. You must be 13 years old or older to have an eCard.
An eCard card is exclusively for use of the electronic resources offered by Jackson County Library Services, such as Library2Go, Hoopla, and our online databases. This card cannot be used to check out items in the library—in order to do that, you will need to obtain a physical library card by coming in-person to a branch and presenting your identification and proof of residency.
If you already have a JCLS library card, then you already have online access, therefore, you need not apply for an eCard.
