Children’s Summer Reading

Fizz, Boom, Read!

Readers of all ages will explore all things science this summer as Jackson County Library Services presents “Fizz, Boom, Read!” during its summer library program. Activities may include science games and experiments, a visit from Bugs-R-Us, nature exploration, and more.

How to Join

The 2014 Summer Reading Program is free of charge and open to young people, preschool through young adult. It consists of programs, prize drawings, storytimes, a reading club, and more. Families are invited to join the Read-to-Me portion of the program. Registration for “Fizz, Boom, Read!” begins as soon as school is out. All children who read or listen to ten books will receive a special bookmark, a reading certificate, and a coupon for a free kid’s meal from HomeTown Buffet. Kids who complete the program will also be eligible to enter local branch library drawings for additional prizes.

For more information, call Jackson County Library Services at 541-774-8679.
