Genealogy and Obituary Requests

To request an obituary or genealogical information, please fill out our online form. We are happy to confirm dates of death using the Oregon Death Index. From the local newspapers, we can provide photocopies of obituaries, or send them through email.

A suggested donation of $5 per obituary is greatly appreciated. Checks may be made out to the Jackson County Library Foundation.

If you are searching for an obituary that would have been published in one of our local newspapers from 1953 to the present, please contact the Rogue Valley Genealogical Society (RVGS). RVGS maintains a file of obituaries (incomplete for 1953-1970 and complete for 1971-present) and will provide you with copies of obituaries for a fee. RVGS members will also perform genealogical research for a fee.
