The theme for the Medford Comic Con 2018 is "Justice."
Costume Contests will be held on both Saturday, April 28th and Sunday, April 29 at 3:00 p.m. in the Medford Library Reading Room, on the 2nd floor.
Judging will be based on:
Contestants are encouraged to take on the persona of their favorite superhero, comic-book/manga character, alter-ego, cosplay character, arch-nemesis—whatever fandom genre resonates with you.
Merit will be given to personally constructed costumes, as opposed to store-bought. This is to encourage creative expression and give credit to these makers, along with the time, energy, and determination it takes to create an other-worldly character
No costume repeats will be accepted.

Online sign up will be available for a limited number of contestants one week prior the Medford Comic Con. Check back regularly for the date & time window!
Sign up on the day of competition will be at the Library Reading Area from opening until the Waitlist is filled.
All contestants per category must arrive 15 minutes early for pre-lineup in the Medford Library Reading Room, east wall. Expect each group to take around 20 minutes to compete, with no more than 60 seconds per contestant on each day. Contestant winners will need to line up on the 'catwalk' at that time to receive awards and for photos.

No profanity, political or religious statements, including messages via signs or clothing. Not following these guidelines may lead to disqualification.

Costume cannot depict, and cannot itself, be in violation of any law.
Peace bound weapons that are props only will be accepted.
