Community Interest
Ruch Branch Library now has a Kindle for use in the library. Patrons can use it for one hour and can read the Oregonian and the New York Times.
These pictures are details of the mosaic in the Ruch Library lobby, designed and installed by Lilli Ann Rosenberg and her late husband Marvin. Children from Ruch School helped make ceramic figures, as did many local residents. With its many Applegate area creatures and scenes, it’s a local attraction!
Salmon, chickens, wheat, and a farmer and
his horse appear in this scene. Great blue herons and an assortment
of butterflies by the river. Pileated woodpecker.
The table-top train is popular
with the kids. Making “dried-apple” dolls was one
of the crafty things to make at the Recycling Awareness Day
presented by Thalia Truesdell.
Forgot your glasses? Borrow a pair while at the library.
