HAVE YOU EVER WONDERED WHY THERE ARE SO MANY ROOSTERS IN THE ROGUE RIVER LIBRARY?
Since 1953, Rogue River has held the National Rooster Crow Championship the last Saturday in June. The National Rooster Crow Champion title goes to the rooster who crows the most in a half-hour period and the Human Crow Contest crowns the audience’s selection for best crow.
FRIENDS OF THE ROGUE RIVER LIBRARY
The Rogue River Friends of the Library meet on the second Tuesday of each month, except during August and December, at 4 p.m. at the Rogue River Branch Library, 412 E. Main St.
The Friends operate a bookstore in the library which is open during regular library hours.
